Exodus

-An Immersive Game Design
In Collaboration with Eashan,Jason and Khyati.

Exodus, is designed to simulate the jeopardy of navigating an unfamiliar environment—where survival depends on learning a new language under extreme pressure. Players must break down, memorise, and pronounce words in a foreign script to unlock areas, access supplies, and ultimately escape.

Game Mechanics & Roles
The Setting: A Dark, Confusing, and Narrow Underground Map

Players navigate a military-style abandoned lab deep in the London Underground.
  • Symbols, writings, and clues cover the walls—but none are in English.
  • The only way to escape is to decipher and use the language.
The Language System: The Key to Survival
  • Instead of inventing an entirely new language, we created a coded system based on English:
  • Each letter is replaced by a unique symbol.
  • To form words, players must decode the symbols, arrange them in English order, and pronounce them correctly
